Oftentimes, it's hard to see the strengths and tools we already have. I lean heavily on a strengths-based approach and try to highlight growth in you throughout our therapist-client relationship.

Individual Counseling

I support adult women and individuals that identify as LGBTQIA2S+

I provide support for the following struggles/topics: anxiety/depression, life transitions, reuniting with joy, boundaries, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, body positivity, highly sensitive persons and imposter syndrome.

My style of therapy is interactive, compassionate, and builds on YOUR strengths. My approach is holistic and eclectic, depending on what works for you.

Below you’ll find information on some of the approaches I use.

Virtual-only Appointments

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

    This approach believes your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. We uncover and change difficult feelings & thoughts with hopes that it leads to healthier behavior for you.

  • I am familiar with and trained in the Internal Family Systems approach. With this approach we believe there is one self and multiple parts (like the inner child, for example) that are created due to difficult experiences. We work together to figure out the intention of your difficult parts and see if we can find healthier ways to meet their intentions

  • I am trained in and familiar with somatic approaches. With Somatic Experiencing, we focus on the feelings in your body and work to release your pain from the body.

  • I am trained in and familiar with mindfulness based approaches. Mindfulness helps to increase your connection/awareness to your body’s feelings AND thoughts. Once you are aware of those things, we can better work on having healthier feelings and thoughts.
